Geotube® GC geocontainment technology consists of a very large geotextile bag hydraulically filled with soil before placement into the water. Formation, transportation, and installation of the Geotube® GC geocontainment technology takes place on a split bottom hopper barge. The Geotube® GC geocontainer is custom made to fit the barge, and once the geocontainer is filled on the barge, the openings are sewn shut and reinforced with rope ties. The barge moves to the desired location and drops the container, which settles to the bottom. Installation takes place in water depths over 15 feet and with high accuracy. These geocontainers are made to withstand the test of time and the furry of water, with unique fabric structures that are tough, yet flexible. Geotube® GB geocontainment technology consists of a geotextile container filled with soil and installed for construction of marine and hydraulic structures. Geotube® GB geocontainment technology is custom made and available in various forms and sizes to suit design and installation requirements. Installation can take place on land or in the water.
