TenCate Mirafi Geotextiles HP-Series & PET-Series

HP-Series Woven High-Performance Polypropylene Filter Fabric Geotextiles

Mirafi® HP-Series high performance geotextiles are used for base course reinforcement and soil stabilization/reinforcement applications. Produced from high tenacity polypropylene yarns, HP-Series geotextiles are specifically designed to provide separation, filtration, and reinforcement for moderate to severe site conditions. These geotextiles are extremely versatile, ensuring long-term performance in new roadway construction. The combination of high tensile strengths and excellent filtration/separation characteristics make Mirafi® HP-Series geotextiles the complete geosynthetic.

Mirafi® HP-Series woven high-performance polypropylene geotextiles function for separation, filtration, soil reinforcement, and confinement.

Mirafi® HP-Series woven high-performance polypropylene geotextiles provide excellent separation factors that control filtration and drainage. It has high soil confinement for greater load distribution. The HP-Series is durable and has superior damage resistance. Cross-roll direction strength is achieved when panels are sewn together.

Highlights

  • Reinforcement Strength – Higher tensile modulus properties per ASTM D4595 than any comparable stabilization product
  • Separation and Filtration – Unique geotextile weave provides excellent separation factors with controlled filtration and drainage. Uniform openings provide same filtration and flow characteristics as that of a fine to coarse sand layer.
  • Durability – Superior damage resistance for moderate to severe stress installations
  • Soil Interaction – Superior soil confinement resulting in greater load distribution
  • Roll Sizes – Mirafi ® HP geotextiles come in multiple roll sizes to fit your project requirements
  • Seams – Panels can be sewn together in the factory or field, providing cross-roll direction strength to facilitate installation
  • Separation – The placement of a flexible, porous geotextile between dissimilar materials so that the integrity and intended functions of both materials remain intact or are improved
  • Filtration – The equilibrium soil-to-geotextile system that allows for adequate movement of a liquid across the plane of the geotextile with limited soil loss over the service lifetime of the application
  • Reinforcement – The synergistic improvement of a total system’s strength created by the introduction of a reinforcing geosynthetic (that is good in tension) into a soil and/or aggregate system (that is good in compression but poor in tension)
  • Confinement – The ability of a geosynthetic to restrain lateral movement from a soil or aggregate through friction or mechanical interlock
  • MSE (mechanically stabilized earth): embankments, walls – permanent and temporary
  • Roadway/Railway Construction Stabilization and Reinforcement: base course reinforcement, sub-grade restraint
  • Erosion Control: land reclamation
  • Waste Management: containment, subsurface drainage, water containment

PET Woven High-Strength Polyester Filter Fabric Geotextiles

Mirafi® PET woven high-strength polyester geotextiles are used to provide stability and limit differential settlement when constructing embankments over soft soils. Mirafi® PET-Series geotextiles provide the highest tensile and long-term design strength (LTDS) available in any geosynthetic.Mirafi® PET-Series are comprised of high tenacity and high molecular weight polyester yarns which provide excellent creep resistance, strength, and soil interaction. Mirafi® PET woven high-strength polyester geotextiles function for soil reinforcement. Mirafi® PET-Series offer higher long-term design strengths per GRI-GT7 requirements, soil confinement for greater load distribution, and is cost-effective for reinforced soil structures.

Highlights

  • Strength – Higher long term design strengths per GRI-GT7 requirements
  • Confinement – Soil confinement for greater load distribution
  • Cost Efficient – Cost-effective for reinforced soil structures
  • Reinforcement – The synergistic improvement of a total system’s strength created by the introduction of a reinforcing geosynthetic (that is good in tension) into a soil and/or aggregate system (that is good in compression but poor in tension)
  • MSE (mechanically stabilized earth): embankments, void spanning
